Welcome to Open Solutions 101

The slogan "In the beginning, everyone is a newbie and each long journey starts with a single step.." was selected to represent everyone in all walks of life really started with less knowledge and then developed confidence and courage in the future thru experience from failure and success.

The site was created as a reference in setting the Operating System and configuring servers that are useful in day to day activities and solutions to some small to medium sized office. Most of the guides are based from free Operating System and other applications software that offers excellent service and most importantly secure. Don't forget about Open Source based software that also delivers great performance and users are able to use, learn, and modify the source code the best part its free.

The arrangement of the guides started from Linux Solutions and a transition to OpenBSD Solutions. The audience will be able to learn on how to setup Linux and setup OpenBSD plus they can also learn on how to setup the type of services and solutions that are needed. File Servers, proxy servers, firewall, and even web server guides are available. Too ambitious I guess.

Different types of Operating Systems offers different solutions and are shown to the audience so that they can decide on which IT solution to choose from the open resources published by the site. Guides for setting a full blown Linux Servers Solution and OpenBSD Servers Solution are also presented to the audience for comparison.

The entire site a compilation on the past experiences of the author. This will also be the online reference in case the author forgot some configurations :)
